Fundraising Activities and Information
COTA is a fundraising organization (Children's Organ Transplant Association) that our family has started to use to help raise funds to assist in Frankie's Cord Blood transplant.
While the transplant will cost over $600,000, a fundraising goal has been established of $85,000 by COTA to help pay some of the medical bills we will incur due to his transplant. Please note that any donation made to Frankie's Fund through COTA is tax deductible. Please see Frankie's page on the COTA Web Site for further information, or contact one of the chairpersons below.
Per COTA's guidelines Frank and I had to appoint three people to be the main contacts between the fundraising activities and COTA: a campaign chair, a media chair and a trustee chair. My oldest sister, Marie is the Campaign chair. Frank's oldest sister, Laura is the Media chair. And, our friend, Mark is the Trustee chair.

FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN INFORMATION
No fundraisers currently scheduled.
Per a letter I received from COTA at the end of January, the total amount of funds raised on behalf of Frankie for 2005 (July 2005-December 2005) was $106,081!!! We have used roughly $30,000 of those funds, so fundraising is still an important focus for us as Frankie's care will be ongoing at Yale and Duke.

Wristbands and Car Magnets
Please email either Laura or Amy (Frank's younger sister) to request wristband(s) or car magnet(s). They are not personalized with Frankie's name, but rather with "www.cota.org" and "DONATE LIFE". The cost of the wristband is $2.00 and $3.00 for the car magnet. The color of both of these items is green.
Direct Donations to Frankie's Fund
Donations can be made to Frankie's fund through his link on the COTA web site (Frankie's Fund) or mailed directly to COTA at COTA, 2501 COTA Drive, Bloomington, IN 47403. When mailing in a donation to COTA, please make sure to write "Frankie D" in the memo field of your check, otherwise, it just goes directly to COTA and not toward Frankie.
