Frankie is sporting yet another cold, but he's managing it okay. He had a fever on Tuesday night, so he missed school from Wednesday through Friday... the fever had subsided by early Wednesday morning, but his cough was really bad, so that's why he stayed home the following two days. His spirits have never lessened. However, today he's been a little teary-eyed. I think he's just tired and still under the weather; and, he just doesn't know how to express that.
Not much else has been going on in our neck of the woods. We've just been trudging along, trying to get through the winter without too many problems.
I'm going to go through some photos today and try to update that link with more up-to-date pics of the family. We'll see how that goes, since I also have another task tonight of {gasp} taxes. ugh. They should have been done so much sooner...oh well. C'est la vie.
For those of you who would like to know exactly when I update his site, I think I'll start doing what Caringbridge does... send an email. So, if you want to know when the site is updated with information, send me an email with "Updates on Frankie" in the subject line.
Thank you for your continued prayers ... and patience with me! :)\
So, Frankie's steroid wean and cold have come to a head. I'm writing from the hospital. We didn't have to go to the ED, but we are in clinic right now as he gets a bolus of fluids to replenish what he's lost over the past 24 hours.
On the drive to school today, Frankie vomited. He hasn't been himself for over a week, so I guess we sort of saw this coming. I was able to get him out of the car at school and have the nurse give him his stress dose steroid shot. By the time we got to clinic, he had vomited two more times.
It took three tries and five people to get a vein for the IV fluids. He's incredibly strong, and every time he flexed, a vein blew. Good times. Ugh.
So, now we just wait and see how he does. Updates to come.
Don't forget, send me an email if you want to know when the site is updated (cynthia@frankiepants.com). Take care!
