Some updating to do!

1. Frankie graduated from Pre-School at Alice Peck Early Learning Center. It was a very emotional time for all of us. And, I do have photos and video, but they are trapped on my main server and will take a while to download them to my laptop to edit and post. But, rest assured, they will come.

2. Frankie was voted "Student of the Year" at Alice Peck. We had no idea that was coming, so the flood gates opened up WIDE. I was slightly teary eyed, to say the least. He was such a good boy. He ran to get his award, and well, since it was by the door, he decided he was going to try to make a break for it! ;) Luckily he was diverted, received his award and was lead running back to his seat.

3. Frankie started Kindergarten at ACES in North Haven. He as adjusted quite well. The first day, though, he looked at me with his big brown eyes as if to say "Why are you leaving me here?"

Apparently he whined a little, but as soon as the activities started, he fell right into place. It was tough leaving Alice Peck and starting somewhere new. We became so close to the teachers and staff at AP that I truly didn't want to leave that security. But, this is a good, a very good, move for Frankie. ACES has an amazing facility that offers so many options for Frankie. We just couldn't not make that move.

4. Another big step for Frankie... we started putting him on the ACES transportation vehicle. I'd call it the "bus" but that's a little misleading. It's a minivan with three other children. It was a HUGE step for mommy. I will admit, I broke down and cried when I put him on it. I was so scared to give up that control, but I did. And, I will admit that 15 minutes later, I called the school to make sure he didn't wiggle out of the car seat or anything else like that. As I was talking with the teacher, he was walking into his classroom, so I felt much better.

He's in summer school at ACES for the month of July. We head to Duke for Frankie's 4th annual visit the first week in August and then he starts back at ACES the last week in August. So, we'll have a couple of weeks in between to do some fun summer stuff.

Let's see... what else? I think that's it. Photos and videos (if I can manage that one) are in the near future!

Again, thanks for reading! And, if you want to be notified of when I make any updates, just send me an email at cynthia@frankiepants.com to let me know.

Thanks!
