Well, the big news is that there is no news. Well, no ER visits since the last update, at least.
On other Frankie related news, he lost his first tooth last Friday (October 17). And, when I write that he lost his first tooth... he really did lose it. When I sent him to school, he had all of his teeth. When I brought him home and started giving him lunch, I noticed it right away. There was no facial trauma, so he didn't accidentally knock it out of his mouth.
So, for the next day, we checked diapers, just in case he swallowed it. And, I've come to realize that even though it was his first tooth, nothing is really that important to look for it in poop. On a nicer, and less smelly, note... the tooth next to the space in his mouth is also loose. And now everyone is on alert to make sure we don't lose this one!
On Tuesday, Frankie had another field trip. We went to a pumpkin patch with his classmates, went on a hay ride, had cider and a cookie and picked out a pumpkin. Okay, Frankie picked up a few pumpkins and threw them, but he did pick his out. It was a nice time, and due to some work issues, Frank was able to join us on this field trip.
Today, Frankie had clinic. He is no longer getting any IV infusions! Which means, they want us to consider having his port removed. It's a bit premature for me to think about that since it's only been a month since being in ER for IV fluids. But, I said I'd think about it.
Oh, I guess this is big news too... Frankie got his first immunization shot today, since pre-transplant! So, when we go back to clinic in a month, he'll get "tested" to see if the shot took. He also got his flu shot today... so his arms are poked-out. Although, he's really not bothered by shots anymore. He's such a big boy!
I do have pictures, but it takes me a while to format and post, so I'll do those another time. I just figured it was about time for me to update! :)
Take care!
